Game Galaxy will be at the GMX Expo Oct 21-23 in downtown Nashville! 9 games will be on Free Play and there will be lots of consoles and games to buy from us! We will have our own arcade room there, with many classic games for play!

Saturday at the GMX Expo we will be having a free single elimination tournament for AE, locked to the first 32 people to sign up. We will be giving away things for prizes, if you are coming to the convention, please come hit us up at our booth and let us know you’re down for playing! Also, We will be having a special event that evening from 7-9pm, called “Beat the local champion in Mortal Kombat II, win cash” (catchy ain’t it), $1 gets you 5 chances to beat him in a 2/3 match, if you can win only one match, you take home $10. Just a little information about our little Retro Museum FINALLY opening…this is in addition to the 120 game arcade that already is open in the mall; this is a once a month museum $10 free play free-for all!

Game Galaxy Arcade has decided to open up its retro arcade museum in space #2075 at Hickory Hollow Mall one Saturday of each month in 2011. The grand opening of the museum will be Saturday, Oct 29. Hours of operation will be from 10am to 9pm. Future dates will be Saturday, November 26, and Saturday December 17. If there is enough interest, the Retro Arcade Museum will be open the last Saturday of each month in 2012 but only if we get your support! With a $10 admission fee the 50+ retro arcade and pinball machines are for everyone’s enjoyment all on Free Play! The $10 cover charge also allows you entry into the many fighting game console tournaments that will be going on simultaneously in games such as Blazblue Continuum Shift, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition, the Super Smash Bros series, and many, many more!

It is important that new generations recognize the history of coin-operated entertainment and with this special event each month, you will have the opportunity to play various arcade rarities such as Zwackery, I, Robot, and Journey, alongside tried and true classics such as Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong. This is the original and longest running major Street Fighter tournament in the nation and will be held in Nashville, TN for the first time ever June 24-26, 2011!

Official Schedule/Rules:

$20 cover charge to ENTER your first tournament! For example, if you only want to enter SSF4AE cost would be $30, $20 cover and $10 entry) If you wanted to enter MVC3 and SSFAE it would be $40, $20 cover and $10 entry on each game)

THE EXCEPTION to the cover is Super Turbo. $50 covers the tournament AND cover charge if you enter Super Turbo. There is no additional fee. It is $50 per ST tournament.

(10% of each tournament will go towards SBO FUNDING) $500 for each player will be distributed for this effort.

Game Galaxy Arcade will be hosting monthly Blazblue: Continuum Shift tournaments, as well as Marvel vs. Capcom 3 side-tournament each one of those days as well!

March 26, April 30th, May 28th, June and onward is TBD (The last saturday of each month)

Signups for Blazblue: Continuum Shift start at TWELVE NOON. Tournament should start at 12:30(approximately). We will stay on schedule as much as possible. The venue opens up at 10. Closes at 9. PLEASE be on time.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 signups are 4:30pm, will start at 5pm, and holds to the same time restrictions imposed above.

- No Unlimited Characters

Out and to the right is whatever food you can handle. We will officially break after Winner’s or Loser’s Semifinals for some grub. Group vote to raid IHOP or Steak N’ Shake afterward. If you bring food or drink in the venue, please throw it away when you’re done.

If you have an SDTV, Composite is okay, but please no composite on a flatscreen. Please confirm with me if you can bring one. We had five last time and only needed three and we managed to record all the matches, but more and more for casuals and other tournaments and games is fantastic.
