Game Galaxy Arcade|Keeping the arcade scene alive

Just a little information about our little Retro Museum FINALLY opening…this is in addition to the 120 game arcade that already is open in the mall; this is a once a month museum $10 free play free-for all!

Game Galaxy Arcade has decided to open up its retro arcade museum in space #2075 at Hickory Hollow Mall one Saturday of each month in 2011. The grand opening of the museum will be Saturday, Oct 29. Hours of operation will be from 10am to 9pm. Future dates will be Saturday, November 26, and Saturday December 17. If there is enough interest, the Retro Arcade Museum will be open the last Saturday of each month in 2012 but only if we get your support! With a $10 admission fee the 50+ retro arcade and pinball machines are for everyone’s enjoyment all on Free Play! The $10 cover charge also allows you entry into the many fighting game console tournaments that will be going on simultaneously in games such as Blazblue Continuum Shift, Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition, the Super Smash Bros series, and many, many more!

It is important that new generations recognize the history of coin-operated entertainment and with this special event each month, you will have the opportunity to play various arcade rarities such as Zwackery, I, Robot, and Journey, alongside tried and true classics such as Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong. $5 cover, $5 entry for each tournament….BONUS $100 added to the pot if we get 32 players for any game (we had 32 for AE last tournament)

70/20/10 on all tournaments!

Game Galaxy Arcade in Antioch now has the new Tron: Legacy pinball available for play! .50 cents is all that stands between you and this incredible pinball, filled with all the sights and sounds from the movie! We are proud to be the ONLY place in the state of Tennessee to have this game available to the public to play. Come and check us out!!!

Our last arcade party at the Rivergate location will be this Saturday, it will be a $10 cover at the door and every game in the store (Arcade and Pinball) will be on free play for the entire night. The event will start at 6pm and last until 12:30am. You can bring alcohol if you like, but it must be in an unrecognizable container just like last time.

We will also be having a SSF4AE tournament that night at 10pm, $3 entry and $2 cover for JUST the tournament, and it will be WINNER TAKE ALL! If you want to come out and only play in the tournament and NOT play the arcade games, you will not need to pay the $10 for the arcade game play, just the cover and entry specific to the tournament. Please come out if you can at all and hundred-hand slap someone for the last time in Rivergate with us!

Rules:
Each game will be 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, and double elimination. We will be starting on time for each tournament. Please be on time.

Special rule for 3rd Strike: Be prepared to bring a PS3 and/or a 360 stick for this tournament. You WILL be asked to play on either. There is NO OFFLINE DIFFERENCE between the systems. Please remember this rule, this is important. We will not hold the tournament up for people to choose the system they want to play on.

$5 cover, and $5 entry for each game.
Payout for each game will be 70%/20%/10%

This is the original and longest running major Street Fighter tournament in the nation and will be held in Nashville, TN for the first time ever June 24-26, 2011!

Official Schedule/Rules:

$20 cover charge to ENTER your first tournament! For example, if you only want to enter SSF4AE cost would be $30, $20 cover and $10 entry) If you wanted to enter MVC3 and SSFAE it would be $40, $20 cover and $10 entry on each game)

THE EXCEPTION to the cover is Super Turbo. $50 covers the tournament AND cover charge if you enter Super Turbo. There is no additional fee. It is $50 per ST tournament.

(10% of each tournament will go towards SBO FUNDING) $500 for each player will be distributed for this effort.
