Ok I have had about an hour since the original post to play the game a few times. I am going to post a quick little guide to playing and donating your points to Game Galaxy.
Update: The best bit of advice was left out of the original post. You can pause the game as needed by pressing H for help in game (Thanks Anakin/skiddy770 for that).
Warning: No centaurs were hurt in the following MSPaint production.
First up? The controls! You need to be familiar with these once you get past level 10 or so and you get a ton of bullets coming your way.
Ok so what are these Special Weapons? Basically each character has something unique they can bring to help you get those top scores. Be mindful, when your Special Weapon bar depletes completely you must wait until it fills all the way up before you can use your weapon again. Here is a breakdown for each character:
1 - Orangutaur: Crazy Bananas
As the name infers, Orangutaur can shoot 3 bananas at a time. They cover a good chunk of real estate.
2 – Cameltaur: Spit Shield
The spit shield will protect you from oncoming hits and also allow you to run into enemies and damage them. While you have the shield active you are not able to shoot your laser. Any time you damage an enemy by running into them, it will take away from your special weapon meter. The shield will wear out over time.
3 – Crocotaur: Spike Shield
The spike shield is very similar to spit shield. It will protect you from enemy lasers and allow you to damage an enemy by running into them. I am *assuming* it does more damage than spit shield later on in the game and allows the spit shield to take more hits — would need someone to confirm as I only tested lightly.
4 – Marsupataur – Giant Boxing Glove
No frills with this. You shoot a giant glove that dominates all in its way!
Once you finally lose all your hp, you will come to this screen:
Please choose Game Galaxy and type in the captcha phrase you see. Hit submit and hopefully you still see Game Galaxy atop the leaderboard!
